社会にとって不可欠な仕事（エッセンシャルワーク）の待遇はなぜこんなにも悪いのか。
あまり知られていないそれらの仕事の実態から、なぜ待遇悪化が起きているのか、それが私たちの社会にどう跳ね返ってくるのかをあきらかにする。
エッセンシャルワーカーの国際比較を通じて、現状を変えていくためのヒントも提言。
