Product summary
1964年東京オリンピック。主人公・一条直也の父親は柔道の試合で敗れ、命を落としてしまう。
その後、直也は車周作の厳しい指導のもと、「地獄車」「海老車」などの必殺技を駆使し、
外国人柔道家や日本のライバルたちと戦う元祖・熱血スポ根マンガ!
1968年、桜木圭一主演にてテレビドラマ版が放映（TBS系、東映制作）され、大ヒット。
ライバル・結城真吾役の近藤正臣が、ピアノの鍵盤の上に跳びあがり足で演奏した場面はあまりにも有名で、
後の特撮ドラマ「仮面ライダー」の礎ともなった。
