Product summary
1347年、フランスのドーバー海峡に面した港町カレー市は
イングランド王の軍に包囲されつつも、11ヶ月もの長期にわたって抵抗を続けていた。
しびれを切らしたイングランド王エドワード三世は、
これ以上抵抗すると市民を皆殺しにすると主張するが、
それでは民の心は得られないと王子になだめられ、
市民の代表6名を人質として王に差し出すことに譲歩する。
通告を受け、有力市民のひとりとして人質に名乗りをあげるアエリスの父。
しかし彼には重病の妻がおり、アエリスは死の床にいる母のため父を
イングランド軍のテントから奪い返そうと決意をする。
しかしようやく忍び込んだ敵陣で、雨のなか地面に倒れこんでいた若者を見捨てておけず助けてしまう。
看病するアエリスに、夢うつつで心を奪われる若者。
その若者こそが父を引き立てていった憎い王子ブラックプリンスその人だった。
そうとは知らないエアリスは若者が寝付くのを待ち、また敵陣の中を父を捜しに行くのであった。
