第35巻「天草四郎の財宝の巻」
自転車での日本一周をめざし、友人の陣太郎と共に旅に出た輪太郎。砂ぼこりを目にかぶってしまったことがきっかけで失明寸前になり、１か月の入院を言い渡された輪太郎。それでも日本一周を断念することを聞き入れない輪太郎を見かね、陣太郎は自分が目となると言い出す。しかし、自分が足枷になる訳にはいかないと輪太郎は陣太郎と別れ、一人で旅立つ決意をする。
