厚生労働省児童福祉文化賞受賞作品【フルカラー77ページ】高天原の神さまの一族に、山幸彦と海幸彦という兄弟がいた。ある日、狩りと釣り、二人の仕事を一日だけ取り替えることにした。兄の釣り針を借りて、海辺で釣りをする海幸彦。ところが、魚に食いちぎられ、釣り針をなくしてしまう。釣り針をなくされた兄の怒りは収まらない。海幸彦が途方に暮れていると、一人の老人があらわれ、駕籠のような小さな舟をくれた。舟に乗り、海へ出ると、やがて、御殿が…。
