About My Number registration

It is required by law to enter your Individual Number when preparing payment records to be submitted to the tax office.
Please note that your doujin activities will not be known to your workplace by submitting your Individual Number.

The documents required to confirm your Individual Number will vary depending on the identity verification documents you have.
There are two types: the "Notification Card" mailed to you by your local government, and the "Individual Number Card" that is issued by one's request.

• The Individual Number Card is a plastic card which contains an IC chip, and the bearer’s name, address, date of birth, sex, My Number (the Individual Number), and ID photograph, etc., are displayed on it.
• You may apply for your Individual Number Card from your local government using your Notification Card.
• This card can be used as an identification card for identity verification as well as to receive a wide range of services including municipality services and electronic applications using the electronic certificate such as e-Tax.

• A notification card is a paper card which notifies every resident of My Number (the Individual Number). Your "name," "address," "date of birth," "sex," and "My Number (the Individual Number)," etc., registered in the resident record of your municipality are noted on the card.
• However, without an ID photo, the notification card must be used alongside other identification documents
  such as a drivers’ license or passport in order to confirm Individual Number and identity at the same time.

• Letters are visible and in a size that is easy to read.
• The full document is in view.

The image is small and the text is illegible.

The image is out of focus and blurry.

Part of the document is hidden or cut off

The Identification Number is a 12-digit number given to all Japanese residents.
From 2016, it is necessary to notify the administrative agencies and companies of one's Identification Number for the administrative procedures including "social security", "tax", and "disaster countermeasures".

A single application will suffice for the first registration.
However, if the name of the representative or withholding tax payer needs to be changed, a separate application is required.

Circles set as corporations are required to provide their Corporate Number.
After confirming this on the National Tax Agency Corporate Number Publication Site, we will proceed with registration.
