Konoe Tooru, 34 years old.

person who likes to drink cafe latte (with lots of milk) while he dislikes anything bitter (matcha/

He usually dons a poker face at work so people tend to think he might be hard to approach as straitlace people often have the impression of being stiff and adhering strongly to proper decorum.

Nevertheless, once they get to know him well, they quickly warm up to his kind and bubbly persona.

Contrary to the straight-man vibe he has, he is actually quite an adorable man who has a face that is
rather easy to read. His innocent smiles earned him a lot of fans among the younger employees
(mostly female) and they anticipate moments that would often induce it (e.g. whenever he thanks
someone for something they have done for him, or when he’s happy about something).

According to some, a secret fan group is dedicated to this gap in his serious personality. (The heroine
is one of them)

Sadly, having his heart broken after a decade-long relationship, he found it difficult to be
romantically involved with someone again despite his unwavering popularity. Seeing his age and his
past experience as hurdles for romance, he politely turns down anyone who has tried to approach
him in this way and has resigned to a life of solitude.

Even so, he soon realized that he has developed strong yearning for a younger subordinate and has
been struggling to keep his feelings where it’s supposed to be. After a year and a half, he decided to
totally move on and give up his love when a handsome and younger subordinate asked to be paired
up with the apple of his eyes.
