Love love loooved this CD! Definitely gonna listen too this over and over again. Went straight into the favorites.
Plot: This is the first time I've seen the ranger concept used in a drama CD, so I'm not sure how it compares to other works, but I think it was really well done here. There was just enough mention of what was going on outside the room to remind both myself and Hikaru that this was no time to be fooling around with the enemy. And those mentions slowly declined as the tracks went on, like how thoughts of anything else were starting to leave Hikaru's mind, which was a really cool touch.
Characters: Hikaru has a strong moral core, and I like that. He tries very hard to remember that his team needs him and that he has a job to do. He even gets disappointed in himself when he gets worn down and gives in to his feelings and wants. But what really highlighted his goodness was the way he treated Listener. No matter what, even when he was throwing harsh words at her, he always treated her gently. I honestly thought he'd bite her when she kissed him or manhandle her when the cuffs came off, but that never happened haha. His tenderness made the whole thing oddly heartwarming.
Voice acting: Irodori Kazuya never disappoints 10/10. His style of soft moans and whimpers made a nice contrast to Hikaru's (trying to be) intimidating vibe. His moans also have a slightly rough quality to them that really sounds nice to me, almost like a cat purring. And when Hikaru was speaking softly to Listener (ie not telling her to let him go), like when he said "Liar. You don't look embarrassed at all," it sounded like he was actually very fond of her, like he was smiling. He probably wasn't, but the way it sounded made this feel much softer and I almost forgot most of the tracks involved rape lol
