一人前になって、お金を稼ごうと頑張る見習い女工、マーコとトーコ。
けどなかなか糸繰り機を割り当ててはもらえず、見習いに与えられるのは簡単な仕事ばかり。
挙句の果てに、工場長の孫娘12人の面倒を見させられるようになり…………。
これは良いことなのか、悪いことなのか…………。
少なくとも女工として銭を稼ぐことからは遠ざかっているような。

そんな感じのお話でした。
