　発症すると、影のような化け物になってしまうという恐ろしい病

　その”影化”が発見されてから20年…
　治療法はいまだ確立していない為、人々は恐怖で満ちていた

　そんな中、かつて世界を救ったという”救世主”の話が広がり始める　

　『滅びを払う救世主が”赤き流星”と共に舞い降りる』

　そぅ伝わる伝承通りに、空には赤く輝く流星が現れた
　人々は”救世主”が降臨したのだと歓喜した…

ーしかし、人々の記憶には苦い記憶も残っていた

　20年前にも”救世主”騒動はあったのだ
　そのとき”影化”の治療が可能になったと人々に伝えられた

　だが、結果は変わらなかった
　”影化”を防ぐ手段はなくなったというのだ

　人々は期待を裏切られたことへの怒りと共に”救世主”に失望したのだった

　そんな昔の経緯もあり
　今回の”救世主”騒動を人々は半信半疑、冷ややかに見つめる者が多かった。
