Gathering Light is an incredibly well made all-ages (technically closer to R-15, in my opinion) RPG starring monster girls. The gameplay systems are comfortable, intuitive, and fun, and the orthodox story is very enjoyable thanks to the strong main character and colorful and well-characterized cast, all with their stories, personalities, and inter-party interactions.

Gathering Light provides a classic turn-based RPG experience, but improves on the depth of choice and gameplay style through various mechanics like a wide and highly varied skill tree for each character, elemental infusions, follow-up attacks, and more. The battles are always interesting, and enemies encourage preparation and counterplay by hitting hard but having clear weaknesses.

The setting is a common fantasy one that looms with the threat of a Demon Lord, but with optimistic realism that makes it comfortable and interesting to experience. the interactions and banter between party members is especially fun, which is a hallmark of great characters and subsequently, a good RPG.

Of extra note, the main character, Aural, is one of my favourite main characters in recent years. As a mature and experienced alraune living in a human-centered world, she deftly handles the prejudice born from the fear of the usually-predatory alraune species, selflessly helping anyone in need to the best of her ability. She guides through both words and action, changing the hearts of everyone around her, and through her, the other characters find growth and motivation.

This game is currently only available in Japanese, but for those who can read it and are looking to experience a solidly made and fun RPG (and are not turned away by the lack of R-18 content), I highly recommend giving Gathering Light a try.

This is a simple 14 minute POV animation of you having sex with someone else's wife. There are a decent number of different scenes like oral, doggy, and cowgirl. Each scene seems to use a short animation loop and repeats it for a few minutes, but the speed of animation and the woman's moans, will fluctuate to avoid too much monotony.

The animations are simple, but very well drawn and have a pleasing color palette. It's also a nice change of pace from the more common 3D or Live2D works, having a certain hand-drawn charm to it that can't be emulated by anything else.

くらげらいふ (Unofficially "Jellyfish Life") is a simulation game about working in a ramen shop and developing a relationship with your only other co-worker.

Having taken over your late father's ramen shop due to circumstances, you are forced to hire the only person that answered your ad for waitstaff: Mitsuki, a former shut-in wishing to conquer her anxieties by taking on a customer service job.

The game revolves around training Mitsuki during the workday and having her correctly serve customers based on their personalities (knowledge of Japanese is needed for this minigame), while improving yourself in your free time at night. Eventually, you can become close enough to start a relationship with her, both emotionally and physically. The management gameplay is quick to grasp and time efficient, nicely balancing out the sexual gameplay and the story scenes.

The story is simple but comfortable, like a light-hearted romance manga that starts with meeting, to dating, and further beyond. Post-relationship mini-events also provide quick but potent moments of sweetness and humor that the player can't help but smile at.

There is a strong sense of development throughout the game not only sexually but also in terms of character, which deserves great praise. Much care has been given to Mitsuki's voiced lines by her VA, that show her growth from an anxious shut-in to a soft-spoken but self-assured woman as she gets more experience interacting with customers.

The H aspects are solid, with H-scenes both at home and in the workplace, and as with all simulation games worth their salt, a "free sex" option where you can choose where to stimulate her to get her (and yourself) to cum, improving her sexual experience and unlocking new sex acts and scenes.

Overall, this is an excellent simulation game that properly balances gameplay, story and characterization, and sexual content, very worth checking out.

楽園のクニークルス (Cuniculus for short) is a turn-based RPG with a solid story, both overarching and per heroine, and a gameplay focus of picking optimal equipment loadouts to take on missions in various environments. H-content is mainly tied to the heroine stories, with a mix of static and animated scenes.

You play as a mercenary who loses the ability to interface with modern technology and pilot mechs after a fateful accident, roaming the world as a deadbeat. However, you find your way back into the job with the help of Tira, an engineer girl, and the titular Cuniculus, her mech that uses archaic technology and requires an operator-pilot duo. With her and two other heroines acting as your operator, you set out to reclaim your way of living and uncover the mysteries behind the accident.
The story has care and thought put into it, making it a cohesive and interesting experience. Each heroine also has their own storyline, which lets the player know more about them, feel for them, and further deepen the relationship with them.

As missions take place in different environments against enemies of various characteristics, the player must configure the Cuniculus's loadout to fit the job. With tons of weapons each having their own characteristics and passives, the possibilities are vast, providing players with the fun of creating their own personal loadouts and battling with them.

As the player progresses through each heroine's story, there will be episodes where they can have sex with you. Additionally, certain key items can be found that unlock additional scenes. Everything is consensual and and enjoyable for both sides, and there are no defeat scenes or NTR which can make the player feel bad.

Overall, Cuniculus is a great game that balances story, gameplay, and H content excellently, and is especially great for people looking for games where the characters have good relationships with and show affection for each other, both during and outside of sex.

The summary of the game is to explore a roguelite dungeon with quirky rules with your partner, while enemies target her with erotic status conditions that you can only cure by helping her reach orgasm.

It is a very lighthearted adventure with charming conversations and events, and as you get closer to your partner, you unlock a relatively high number of H-scenes with her in various status conditions. I am a fan of the cute and sexy art, but no animations and minimal variations per CG means understanding the Japanese during a scene is a significant part of the experience.

Unfortunately, the gameplay is both very shallow and very easy, and I beat it in very few attempts and increasingly felt it as a chore than an engaging game. There is also no replayability despite the game being a roguelite.

My quick clear means I did not get to see most of the H-scenes naturally, but the full gallery is unlocked upon clearing the game so and I can enjoy all the scenes any time after beating the game, at least.

Dungeon Town is a dungeon crawler with level reset elements. It has a developed exploration and combat system, affection/touching system, and battle fuck system. However, the overall quality is held back by some baffling design decisions which slow the game's pacing to a crawl.

The player explores an isometric dungeon, where they progress through floors, fight monsters, and collect loot. They're limited by their available action point and inventory weight limits, having to pause exploration and return as you cannot proceed to the next floor without action points. One can restart from the floor they paused on so there's minimal loss of progression. However, I feel the limits are much too low at the start of the game, forcing the player to interrupt their exploration much too frequently before they can get into it. The weight limit is too easily hit by various junk items, making it annoying to constantly discard them to leave space for actual rare items required for quests or new equipment.

Affection with the heroines involves getting intimate with them and raising their sensitivity and receptiveness to sexual acts, in which they will agree to have sex once they are developed enough. However, the main way to enter this intimacy mode is to fail to run away from monsters. This creates a nonsensical situation where you have to constantly run away from a single monster to get the chance to be touchy-feely with the heroines.

Get the heroines horny enough, or meet with succubi, and you'll enter a battle fuck. The battle fuck system is well done, where you have to build up the mood first through SMT-style conversations before doing the deed. My enjoyment of the battle fuck only makes the game's flaw worse: It takes too long to get to new characters which are fuckable, due to the horrid pacing of early-game exploration.

Overall, a game with potentially good gameplay and H systems if you play it further, but the poor early-game pacing makes it very tiring to get past it into when it gets good.

戦令姫レイシア (Lecia for short, since we don't have an official EN title yet) inherits the two excellent aspects of of Crimson Flash Aries: punishing action gameplay that is also very rewarding, and an engaging story with great characters. But while Aries is often criticized to have little H content especially in the early-game, Lecia surpasses it by being full of H-content spaced evenly throughout the game. Overall Lecia is a fantastic H-ARPG game that excels in the aspects of Gameplay and Story while being very competent in the aspect of H-content.

Much like Aries, boss battles demand the player to learn and parry their attacks, waiting for the chance to combo them down when they are vulnerable. Greedy and careless play is heavily punished, and nothing beats the adrenaline high of successfully chaining parries and finishing a phase unscathed. I truly consider Lecia to have one of the best and most well-refined combat gameplay on DLsite.

I really like the story, and the mysteries set-up in the early chapters make me curious and want to play more to find out what happens. I also think kuroto-san's writing, especially side-character writing, is very underappreciated. The various people Lecia interacts with are multifaceted and I enjoy it when the story showcases their interesting other sides. Behind an abusive superior lies a man wrought with an inferiority complex, and behind sly-looking politicians vying for power lie iron resolves that can rival even main characters of other stories. This 3-dimensionality of characterization for side characters is very rare, and their great execution really elevates this game by a lot.

Unlike Aries, the quantity of H-content is far from lacking. It comes at you fast, frequently and with large variety. There are H-attacks, H-sidequests, clothing damage, and more to be found. The lewdness mechanic is better than before, with the stages clearly showing Lecia's developing openness towards sexual acts. If we're talking about quality though, then frankly there are more erotic fapgames out there, but none of them come close to being as full of a game as Lecia is on the gameplay and story front.

Overall, I consider Lecia to be a game bordering on masterpiece-level when looking at it as a whole, and a clearwinner for my favourite DLsite action game of 2023.

Instead of getting prize money from defeating female trainers, you get to have sex instead.

Gameplay-wise, instead of 6 monsters, you get to have 3 in your team (technically 2 since your partner monster cannot be removed from party for 99% of the game), with just 7 types and simple effectiveness charts. The game is more engaging than the usual RPGmaker fare, but still very easy even on the default Normal mode, as you'll naturally overlevel if you are hunting for female trainers. Players looking for a challenge will either have to impose it on themselves, or just play a real game.

H content is based on the common-sense-modification genre of brainwashing, though there are consensual sex scenes later into the game. It uses simple frame animations and a very wet artstyle with fluids and ahegaos.

I liked the game's story and worldbuilding. They were not pointless throwaways despite this being a fapgame, and I could feel that the creator really did think about the story aspects that people liked, and looked into incorporating them to make the experience fuller and richer instead of being a mere phoned-in parody.

To describe the game as it is, you go through a straight dungeon and do random events or battles. Combat is a step above Active Time Battle: You have to wait to take your turn while the enemy chips at you in real time, and continue to take damage even while you're thinking of the decision to make. The game can be played with one hand on the mouse.

However, the game's intention is for the user to use it as a fap hero/masturbation support. While waiting for your turn, there will be a time bar that is in time with the enemy's animations. Follow it with your free hand, and don't physically "lose" before you defeat the enemy. The game even offers you an option to instantly take punishment damage to match your physical condition if you do "lose".

That said, the rhythm aspect can be much improved. The animations are good, and synced with the time bar. However, the music is not synced, and sometimes lag can even cause the sound beats to desync the time bar. More testing and optimization could have been done here.

If you're into guided masturbation, and want to experience it though a game instead of just watching a video or listening to audio, then this game is one of the cheaper ways to experience it. If you prefer to play a game without distractions and then work your hands only during scenes, then you won't find much entertainment from this game.

NOTE: This game is only available in Japanese. People who cannot read the content would miss out on the story, dialogue, and some puzzle/mechanic hints and explanations, which I consider to be important for this game.

As with Leaf Geometry's other works, Innocent Rules is a great RPG game in all three facets of gameplay, story, and H content. A spin-off of SEQUEL, it trades a tight-knit party for a huge cast of fan-favorite monster girls, giving an experience that is fresh yet comfortable for long-time fans. Players new to Leaf Geometry can also find this spin-off as a good starting point, as it is enjoyable even as a standalone and the callbacks do not overwhelm those new to SEQUEL lore.

Combat is well designed and very fun for enjoyers of turn-based RPGs. Players can create a variety of unique parties with over 30 recruitable monster girls. Clever teambuilding and understanding of boss mechanics is the key to victory over them and the level curve is well balanced to minimize grinding during the main story. Casual players wanting to muscle through the content without thinking can still choose to grind and have sex with their party members for stat gains if needed.

Great story and character writing bring color to the cast of characters, and all of them are interesting to be around with throughout the plot. For even more avid readers, the game is also full of lore and tidbits found throughout the world, equipment, and enemy logs.

Such a variety of characters and monster girls comes with a large amount of H scenes. Although base CG count is only half of the scene count, good scene writing ensures you're not treading the same content twice. The scenes have a great variety of H content in them, from foreplay and sex to even butt teasing and facesitting. However, for players wanting to "stay faithful" to just one character, the large cast also necessarily means no character can do every type of content. There are also a small handful of more "adventurous" scenes like snuff and homosexuality for the open-minded players, but they have warnings and can be easily skipped by players uncomfortable to them.

If you're looking for an HRPG game that's enjoyable in both H and RPG, then Innocent Rules and subsequently the rest of the SEQUEL series will be a good addition to your library.
