It is not stand-alone content.

In addition, there are now "Bad End" scenes for you to enjoy.
See what happens after you are defeated in the ruins event in the main story.
(Ordinarily, the story continues after you are victorious - this has no effect on the world after you've cleared this section)

Separate within the game.
You can continue on the main route without seeing any of the Bad End content.

The "Bad End" scene has 13 new CGs and 177 new animation variations.
