In the old and distant north of rice paddies and farmland
young man Ailay met a mysterious girl.
She knew what he wanted, and taught him the ways of "battle".
Ailay embraced the life of the sword just in time
for calamity to strike his village. It was destiny.
Rather, it was as though this girl could see it all coming.

Atsushi came to know Miyuki, his neighbor at the old apartments,
while living there temporarily for college. She was older, and ordinary.
To an inexperienced young man like him she was perfection.
Atsushi felt complex emotions for Miyuki.
That unforgettable summer, he experienced his first time.
