Set in the 30s of the Shōwa era. (1955~1965)

A divorce has brought a young man to the Tohoku countryside, where he meets the moth yōkai, Akebi, on an autumnal mountain with maples, red like fire. As they grow closer, the boy finds it harder and harder to only see her as a friend. Akebi, on the other hand, seems more than willing to answer to his primal desires...
