Product summary

近未来の地球を舞台に、地球の環境悪化によって衰退する人類と、その人類によって創造された
人工生命体「ミミック」が織り成すドラマティックなSFラブストーリー。
多発するミミックの自殺の調査を始めた主人公は、調査を進めていくうちに、
人間の卑しいエゴと、ミミック達の背負う悲しい運命を知る。
そして、人類は残るべき存在であるのか、それともミミックに未来を託すべきなのか、と
苦悩しながらストーリーが展開していく。はたして、貴方の望む未来は……。

◆ストーリー

そう遠くない未来、地球は有害な放射線や紫外線が大量に降り注ぐようになり、
人類は、その生活の場を夜へと移すようになっていた。
そうしたなか、太陽の下での有害な環境にも耐え得る人工生命体「ミミック」を創り出し、
労働力として活用するようになる。それは瞬く間に人間社会に浸透し、いつしか無くてはならない存在となっていった。
しかし、あるとき、そのミミックが“自殺”するという、プログラム上あり得ない事件が多発する。
その原因調査に、公的機関である「特殊保険調査公社」から調査員・黒羽玲一（主人公）が、
ミミック達の生まれ故郷・開発コロニー「ソラ」に派遣された。そこで玲一は、
ミミックの知られざる生態と、彼らが持つ独特の心理に戸惑いと驚きを感じるが……。
